Brocade Brigade

Dress: TopShop // Jacket: William Rast // Heels: Sergio Rossi // Clutch: Judith Leiber, similar here // Sunglasses: Dior // Earrings: Kate Spade // Ring: TopShop, similar from Ariella // Nails: Essie’s Sole Mate

I love afternoons where you can explore new things in your own city.  I drive past the San Francisco Opera everyday and decided it was finally time to catch a matinee in a pretty dress–and orange heels to support the San Francisco Giants of course!  The War Memorial Opera House is one of the most beautifully decorated buildings in San Francisco and I wanted to celebrate my afternoon by wearing my TopShop jacquard dress to play off of the house’s rich upholstery.  The brocade print looks like a fine tapestry, and the playful cut–nipped at the waist and flowing into a full skirt–couldn’t be cuter!  After all, skirts were made for twirling!

Happy Halloween!  Be safe, spooky, and stylish!

Hey Mallory! Isn’t this dress fab? Its also a really thick fabric which is nice once it gets a little bit colder out. I’ll just add some tights and I’ll be set!

That dress is absolutely gorgeous! I love the silhouette and the dramatic print! And it was so smart of you to not pile on the accessories and just let the dance shine on it’s own!

Hey Erin! You’re totally right…I was trying to be minimalist with this look because the dress is the stunner on its own. I didn’t want to add a lot of extras and take away from the special-ness of it. I love the look of tons and tons of arm candy–but to be honest–its a total pain to wear and lug around on your arms…right?!?

  6. Beautiful dress!

  7. Jenny, how beautiful is that dress. It’s pattern is so glamourus and I am glad you didnt overload with any accessoires and let the dress be that main character. Super cute clutch too.

  8. Perfect dress! You look amazing! xx

  9. Believe it or not I almost bought this dress. I’m pretty sure I have it on pinned on Pinterest. I love the rich colors and details of it and the color looks great on you! Normally I’m not a huge fan of Judith and her clutches ;) but I surprisingly like this one. It’s really lovely! What’s not to twirl about? :)
