Freshly Minted

Dress: Cynthia Rowley // Top: Gorgeous // Shoes: Steve Madden // Bag: Sofia C. // Belt: ASOS // Bracelet: Kate Spade // Necklace: Carolee // Sunglasses: Target

Its no secret that I’m loving spring pastels.  Mint is increasingly becoming my favorite color of the season and I’ve got a new mint-hued bag to prove it (not to mention my recent discovery that I currently posses five (yes, FIVE?!) tubes of minty fresh toothpaste as captured on Instagram).  I clearly have mint on the brain!

I’ve been trying to transition a lot of my closet into day-to-night outfits: showcasing a central piece and then adjusting my accessories accordingly to make it more day or night appropriate.  This Cynthia Rowley dress is fun for its super comfortable feel and pockets (yes!) and I’ve been wanting to take it from a night-out LBD to a polished, daytime look.  To soften up the black I loved the idea of adding soft colors–in this case neutral beige and mint–to bring out the demure side of the dress.  Top it all off with a sweet strand of pearls et voila! This dinner dress is ready for brunch!

Thanks Avril, these shoes probably get the most mileage out of my entire collection. Would you believe that they are the most comfortable?
