Last night I headed over to the Poshmark headquarters in Menlo Park for a wonderful party to check out their new office and mingle with the team and users!  Ever since I was a host at Poshmark’s recent City Chic party in San Francisco, I’ve been looking for any excuse to see the Poshmark ladies and needed an outfit to match a super stylish new headquarters.  My close blogger babe Adiel, from It’s Because I Think Too Much, and I wanted to coordinate outfits on a similar theme and decided to go with something unexpected…different…and with a bit of drama.  We snuck out of the party for a few minutes to shoot some photos…cue the feathers!

I got this Biba feather cape in London and bought it as a gift for my mom, but I’ve borrowed it from time to time since its such a unique piece!  Yes its dramatic, but fashion is so fun where sometimes you need to just throw on a feather cape, am I right?  I like how the feathers have a bit of a green sheen to them which paired perfectly with green skinny jeans and an embellished tank.

Check out how Adiel wore her feathers in the sneak peek below and click over to It’s Because I Think Too Much to see her entire look.

What do you think of our feathered party looks? Have you experimented with mixing feathers and fashion?

Wow, I don’t know if I could pull that feather cape off like you did. I haven’t experimented with feathers much other then feather earrings but am definitely motivated to now. Loving that feather clutch as well. Great looks!

Thanks Janet! Yes, feathers aren’t really the most common in fashion but its really fun to think outside the box sometimes…right?
