Every time I start to think about the fact that Harrison will be one in less than two months, I get overcome with all of these emotions. This first year of his life is hardly what we ever imagined, but it has given us a the gift of more time with him, which is all any parent can ask for. As his birthday draws closer and closer, I have started rounding up some of my favorite first birthday theme ideas and decor inspo. We did a fun little half birthday celebration with just the 3 of us for Harrison to give us a little joy while we were still in the thick of quarantine, but now that it’s his big first birthday, I am definitely going to make it an exciting celebration.
Our First Birthday Theme Ideas
For Harrison’s party we are sticking to more of a color scheme than an actual theme. Since his room is animals and neutral colors, we are going to stick to something along those lines. We will definitely have some sort of ballon display, and I am really interested in renting some of those large light-up letters to spell out ONE. See some of my inspo below! We are considering some local vendors for balloons and other decor, but I will share some similar products I’ve been eyeing online below!
While we are keeping it more color-schemed than themed, I wanted to share some really fun and creative ideas I’ve seen for first birthday parties. This is such a momentous occasion for you and your family, that I think it should always be celebrated if possible! So many family gatherings have been put on hold, but I definitely think it is still fun for parents to have the ability to go all out, even if it will be just you and your little one! I am just sharing some of my favorite color schemes as well and individual decor that I feel an entire can come together using!
In my opinion, a large ballon display really can bring an entire party together so I definitely plan on having one for Harrison. We’ve had a few balloons in the house and he is fascinated with them, so I am really excited to see how he reacts to a million of them on his birthday!
