hampton brights with Banana Republic & Milly

I have a very special surprise for you….

I’m excited to announce that Just Add Glam is expanding its closet horizons to include men’s fashion for the first time!  And who better to partner with than my long-time favorite Banana Republic and Milly with their newly launched summer 2013 capsule collection–and Milly’s first foray into men’s fashion as well!  To share the bright colors and bold prints of the collection, I recruited my brother Andrew to style some Banana Republic x Milly Hamptons-wear with me.  Andrew has been known to help out behind the camera on Just Add Glam but he definitely had a great time in front of the lens as my dapper counterpart.

I loved styling the bold colors and prints from the Banana Republic x Milly collection, and especially by giving them a unique twist.  Andrew and I could easily have paired our looks with sandals and we would be ready for the beach but I wanted to go for a bit more of a city-meets-beach vibe with some unexpected accessories.  To punch up the already vibrant color palette, we opted for pops of red (red lips and red toes for me, red pocketsquare and red sneaker accents for Andrew) to accent our lime and blues.  I love the mix of the silver tote with the bangles against the bright lime, something about it is so warm yet so cool.  And Andrew’s kicks?  Totally unexpected but something about them just works when pairing vintage printed shorts and vintage sneakers.

Styling the Banana Republic x Milly collection was amazing and so much fun.  The modern style of Banana Republic mixed with Milly’s signature vintage-inspired prints and patterns is the perfect mix of sophisticated and playful.  Now all we need is two plane tickets to the Hamptons…
