For my trip to Florida this week, I wanted some easy pieces to wear that could easily be rolled up into my carry on suitcase and would be wrinkle resistant—no one wants to spend their time ironing! Blogger pal Andrea gifted me this jersey t-shirt dress and necklace from Zappos and their holiday gift guide and I knew they were perfect pieces to bring along on my trip. Jersey is one of those materials that just feels so good to wear and it has a nice weight to it, and this dress has a wonderful draped affect. I love the asymmetrical hem which gives it a bit of an avant guard look (and makes it look more expensive than it really is!). I paired this dress with a long tassel necklace to complement the draped fabric and neutral accessories to keep the look easy and casual—but still polished.
To kick off holiday gift giving, Andrea and I partnered together with Zappos to share a little gift with each other. I love giving gifts to others and it was a lot of fun to browse different items for her to find the perfect gift to match her style (I ended up gifting her this dress, this necklace, and this scarf. It was really easy to holiday shop on Zappos and quickly browse, add to cart, and ship. Not to mention, I’m completely on board with a retailer that offers FREE two-day shipping (yes, you read that correctly!) and a 365 day return policy—a total must when gift giving—I want to make sure my gift recipients are absolutely in love with their gifts!

The T-shirt dress looks great! I love this casual look, but I wonder if you have any tips for making a t-shirt dress work appropriate?
Melanie — Great question! What is your office environment like? Corporate? Startup? In this instance, the material is a bit casual so you could layer a collared, buttoned shirt underneath to give it a bit more structure.

I love this look, and how you mixed black with neutrals but spiced it up with a pop of color (the blue necklace). The tassel is gorgeous! With a pair of tights, you can do this look all year round. LOVE!
