I recently had the pleasure of attending an intimate Chinese New Year celebration at the Grand Hyatt in downtown San Francisco. The Grand Hyatt is a landmark hotel in the city and I was beyond excited to celebrate my first Chinese New Year with them. Check out the photos below to take a peek into our evening together.
We started the evening in the lobby with a street-food reception, serving many different types of traditional dumpings and buns–delicious!
Chinese dragons lead us downstairs to our private dining room with traditional drums and dance!
Our private dining room was one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve ever seen. It looked like a photo straight from Pinterest–absolutely perfect! The table was curved in a dragon-like shape which made it really fun to interact with other guests throughout the evening.
I can’t wait to try out my own lantern wall at an upcoming party that I throw, it’s absolutely beautiful.
After dinner, we headed up to the Presidential Suite on the 34th floor to take in the views of the city, enjoy some dessert and tea, and have our fortunes told.
A Chinese fortune teller was telling fortunes based on our birth years and our selection of coins. My fortune told me that I am firey, passionate, and a hard worker. That totally makes sense given that I was born during the year of the tiger!
I wore this dress for the evening and it matched the intricate desserts perfectly!
The #LivingGrand experience hosted by Grand Hyatt was absolutely incredible. It was great to check out a local gem hotel, meet the guests and staff, and experience a new celebration of culture. If you’re looking to book a trip to San Francisco anytime soon, I highly recommend you book your stay at the Grand Hyatt for an unforgettable experience. Thank you Grand Hyatt for a beautiful evening!
I’m not ready to let go of the fun Chinese New Year…so I’m keeping the fun alive this weekend at the San Francisco Chinese New Year parade! Be sure to check it out if you’re in SF!
