On The Runway

Top: Ali & Kris, c/o // Layered Tank: Hanro // Skirt: JCrew, similar here // Scarf: Forever21, similar one here // Hat: Forever21 // Wedges: Steve Madden, similar here

One of the best parts about summer is being able to book a plane ticket and escape on a mini getaway for some relaxation.  My method for packing for a trip is to create my outfits ahead of time and try to use pieces that can work in multiple looks so I don’t end up taking fifteen pairs of shoes with me.  Well, as usual…I couldn’t decide on what all to bring so I ended up overpacking. Oops!

The majority of the time that I spend flying is for business so I’m used to being more dressed up on a plane versus wearing something cozy (…Juicy Couture tracksuit anyone?).  So when it comes to my personal travel I tend to dress in the way that I want to step off the plane.  In this case for Hawaii, I wanted light fabrics and a hat to help once I was hit with the warm sun.  I love this sheer top from Ali & Kris  because its breathable enough for poolside but also kept me surprisingly warm on the plane.  Anything to not use those airplane blankets, right?  When I am going out in the sun, I like to stay covered up with a hat to protect my skin and this one has been one of my favorites lately.  Once the plane touched down on the runway, I swapped my scarf for some sunglasses and was ready to go!

Where are you off to this summer?

xoxo

Jennifer

Nic–Straw hats are my vacation essential. I always seem to get sunburned on my forehead so I need to keep covered up! Excited for Saturday brunch!

You look fabulous in this outfit! It is perfect for travelling! I too usually dress up on planes, and always bring a scarf to keep me warm. It’s freezing on those things! Hope you have a wonderful vacay!

Very cute outfit! With the colors and the scarf, it’s sort of a twist on the flight attendant look, too!

OMG Bevin, that’s hilarous! I didn’t even think that this could have a flight-attendant vibe…but now I see it! Vintage flight attendant from Pan-Am though…not present day 😉

With a 6 month old and toddler transitioning to hi With a 6 month old and toddler transitioning to his big boy bed, I’m not exactly getting 8 hours of sleep each night #ad

Lately I’ve been making a point to optimize my sleep quality to help make up for my lack in quantity right now. That means optimizing my routine with small changes to help wind down before bed:

- I’m putting my phone on sleep mode to keep me from spending too much time on it before bed.

- I’m using red light only an hour before bed to support my circadian rhythms.

- I’m supplementing with melatonin to achieve better sleep. @zzzquil’s PURE Zzzs Melatonin Gummies include the optimal amount of melatonin so I don’t wake up feeling groggy* the next morning.

You can find PURE Zzzs Melatonin Gummies at your favorite local retailer - check out my story to see how you can join the #BetterSleepin12Zzz campaign too!
