Pop of Poppy!

The past few days have been incredibly foggy here in the Bay Area and I’m tired of the grey ‘blah’ outside.  It’s time to amp up the color palette with a pop of poppy to brighten my day!

Thank you JCrew for making a perfectly gorgeous color that really flatters everyone, not to mention gives you a glow!  This sweater is lightweight yet warm which is key when layering.  I paired it with these soft camel Harem pants to keep the look casual and relaxed.  To add some details, I tied on a silk scarf square in a retro-chic way and added this great velvet and bead necklace from TopShop.

To carry my daily essentials with me, I used this lovely bronze bag by Kate Spade that is a classic shape and size and a knockout color when the light hits it in all its metallic glory!  To finish the look (and give me some needed height!) I added some Steve Madden snakeskin slingbacks that gave some additional texture to the look.

This look surely does break down the fog!  Enjoy!

    Really a cool outfit. Nice to have layering tones and then have a focal color that adds pop(in your case poppy) to the outfit. Nicely done! Great for a dreary cloudy day.
