I’m glad the weather forecast has El Nino letting up for a bit this week–this umbrella has been my number one accessory as of late! San Francisco has been buzzing this past weekend with the kickoff of the Superbowl, so I found some time to avoid the crowds and get some errands done. I don’t get my hair cut very often but was in dire need of a cut (ended up taking off 3 inches) so I headed into Sassoon Salon in Union Square for some hair love. I’ve been going here for a couple years now (previously shared in this post) and wanted more of the same! Nathan touched up my roots to give me some seriously luscious color and actually pulled darker pieces through my ombré to darken up a bit.
To start off 2016 I didn’t want to change my cut too much, but wanted something that felt fresh and more manageable (especially since I’m resolving to have more voluminous hair in 2016), so lightening up my layers was the way to go. I’m not sure if this happens to anyone else, but I get very anxious when I’m in the chair and I see pieces of hair start to fall to the floor. It’s just hair–yet it’s such a part of our identity! I knew I was in good hands with Michael and I was so happy to see my layers come up a few inches to pump up the volume! So glad to have found my hair dream team with Nathan and Michael!
What were you guys up to this weekend? Are you ready to celebrate for the Superbowl?

What a beautiful photoshooting! Simply stunning! Great post! Unfortunately I don’t live in the USA, but I like TV spots from Super Bowl! (Just remember Budweiser’s Lost Dog)

That ombre colour effect is fabulous on you! I’ve felt a change for 2016 and have started dying my hair ginger (I have naturally black hair). It’s beginning to take shape now after a couple of applications. 🙂
