Dress: Derek Lam for DesigNation // Bag: Olivia Harris, similar style here // Heels: Gucci // Bracelets: DIY and Jami c/o // Sunglasses: House of Harlow // Necklaces: House of Harlow // Ring: borrowed // Lips: Maybeline Pink Pop // Nails: OPI I Brake for Manicures

I recently was shopping around for an espresso machine and one of my friends recommended I check out the selection at Kohls.  I didn’t find what I was looking for (I ended up getting this amazing Nespresso machine!) but I did find this Derek Lam for DesigNation dress!  Its a bit shorter than the dresses I normally wear but I loved the unexpected mix of colors and angled shapes so I decided to go for it.  I played up the geometric angles print on the dress with some fun Gucci platforms.  I don’t wear these heels very often but the soft grey color was such a complimentary match…they needed to be worn together.  I finished off my look with a copper metallic Olivia Harris crossbody that is the perfect size for carrying around my essentials (hello, iPhone!).

Have you seen the Derek Lam for DesigNation collection?  What are your favorite pieces?

I love that dress. Afraid I haven’t seen anything from its collection – I can’t possibly fit any more clothes into my dorm room, so I’ve been avoiding looking at anything that isn’t astronomically out of my price range. Judging by the dress, though, the collection must be pretty awesome!
