THE ULTIMATE 70s WAVES HAIR TUTORIAL

70s waves hair tutorial featured by top San Francisco beauty blog, Just Add Glam70s fashion is coming this fall and I’m kind of excited about it!  I’m slowly seeing myself gravitate towards browns, orange, and gold so I’m ready to slip a bit of this era into my wardrobe.  In addition to clothing, I’m really feeling the big 70s waves and curls that go along with this decades’ style.  I’ve put together a hair tutorial on how to get that volume-ized curl look that’s perfect for this fall!  Let’s go!

70s Waves Hair Tutorial

70s waves hair tutorial featured by top San Francisco beauty blog, Just Add Glam I started with prepped, dry hair.  I washed and conditioned my hair and put on a generous helping of Suave Pro Curls Mousse (picked up from Kroger) to give my hair a base to hold my 70s waves and give an extra oomph of volume–it’s the backbone of my 70s style!  One my mousse was on, I let my hair air dry while I applied my makeup for the day and got dressed.  You could also rough dry with a hairdryer if you’re pressed for time.

I section off my hair with hair elastics and start with the bottom layer for my curls.

My holy grail of curling rods–The Sultra Bombshell curling rod!  This rod heats up really fast and holds the curl for DAYS.  Make sure you’re stocked up on dry shampoo because you’ll be wearing this style for a couple days!

I grab a 1 inch section of hair at a time, grab the ends together, and wrap it around the curling wand.  Make sure that you’re not flattening the section of hair when its being wrapped, but let it naturally twist into a rope.  This allows for the ‘imperfect’ curls that have more volume and give a messy 70s waves look.

Once the bottom layer is complete, section out another layer and continue to curl, curl, curl!  Continue with all layers until your hair is completely curled.

Once all pieces are curled, I run my fingers through my hair to softly brush it out, amp up the volume, and mess it around a bit.  For this 70s waves look, the messier–the better!

If you want to recreate this 70s waves look, head over to Kroger for deals on hair products to get major volume for your tresses!  $2 off any 2 Suave Professionals, $3 off any 2 Dove products, $2 off any 1 Dove Styling or Treatment product, and $1.50 off any Tresemme Styling product.  Love a good deal!

xoxo

Your hair really suits the 70’s waves trend I wish my hair could go like that. Sadly because I have curly/ wavy hair already ( and trust me not the good kind mine is thick and frizzy the worst combination.

Finally tried @dintaifungusa and wow! So good! Her Finally tried @dintaifungusa and wow! So good! Here’s what we ordered:

🌟Cucumber Salad - a bright and light starter I’d love to make these at home (and @glucosegoddess would be proud!)
🌟String Beans with Garlic - I would have eaten 3 more orders of this had they not been $16/each. I’ve already been searching for copy cat recipes because they are just SO DAMN GOOD
🌟Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao - these are their classic soup dumpling and very yummy and chewy and I loved the soy-vinegar sauce pairing with it
🌟 Sticky Rice & Kurobuta Pork Shao Mai - these were recommended in a TikTok video but they weren’t my favorite. The rice plus the dough was just too much IMO
🌟 Chicken Spicy Wontons - these were very good! I would drink the bowl of sauce if no one was watching…
🌟 Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao - wow, what a great to end the meal! We don’t order dessert often but this really good. Love the melty creamy chocolate!

Can’t wait to go back! Have you been? You’ve got to try it!
I waited to share putting my 2023 vision board tog I waited to share putting my 2023 vision board together until late January because there it’s so much buzz around the new year and goal setting around the start of the new year…but how about waiting until the buzz around it starts to fade? I’ve been committed since 12/31/2022 but if you need some fresh inspiration for 2023…here you go!

Last year I made a digital vision board in Canva with about 8 vague photos and I never looked at it. This year, I got a huge poster board and nearly 100 very specific images of the things I want. VERY specific. In the short 3 weeks having this propped up in my office and seeing it each day, I’m already seeing the needle moving on these items!

Have you created a vision board or set goals for 2023? What doe is mean to you? How are you achieving your goals this year? #goalsetting #visionboard
