Las Vegas is definitely known for The Strip with all of the casinos, hotels, and flashing lights.  But it was really great this past trip to explore beyond the famous Las Vegas Boulevard and see what else there is to offer.  One afternoon we went to the beautiful Red Rock Canyon and took the scenic 13-mile drive (it was so gorgeous we actually came back the next day to go hiking–not in heels).  Despite the wind, I love how the photos came out under the bright desert sun–a really cool high-contrast look!

I was wearing a new Fossil bag that I recently picked up in this gorgeous leopard print.  I have one other small clutch in leopard (last worn here) but I was looking for a larger bag to hold my daily essentials and finally found one that was the perfect size.  Paired with my leather skater skirt and short-sleeve sweater top, it was a simple outfit with great texture!

Fun fashion fact: Cheetah print and leopard print are often referred to as the same in fashion but they are actually different!  Cheetah print is spotted with black oval or circle markings, and leopard print is a more complex cluster of black and brown spots.
