I’ve been in non-stop summer time mode over here–cue the backyard hangouts, weekend road trips, and flirty summer dresses. It’s also been exceptionally hot later so I have found that I’m caring less about what I’m wearing, how done-up my makeup is and focusing more on being in the moment. With that said, I’ve been streamlining summer dressing and hairstyles to keep it stylishly simple.
Boho embroidered style dresses have been so popular this summer and I’m so obsessed with them. I love how tossing on a dress (instead of a top and bottom) makes it so easy to quickly get dressed and style with accessories. And at $26, you’ve just increased your summer vacation budget–we’re planning on Greece, I think?? Let me know your suggestions!
When I’m doing my hair and dealing with the heat, I’m not looking to spend tons of time perfecting curling or putting a wave in my hair because it can disappear so easily. I picked up some new drugstore products to try out on a recent Kroger trip–Suave Mineral Infusion shampoo and conditioner, TRESemme mousse for some extra hot-defying body, and Dove Style+Care spray to hold my waves in place (plus, let’s be honest, I love the packaging!). I typically prefer purchasing more affordable hair products because I go through about a bottle of shampoo and conditioner every two weeks so I’m not about to spend a ton. I like this Suave shampoo and conditioner duo because it has this awesome fresh scent and is so afordable–me likey! Since the heat is causing my waves to disappear, I style my hair as usual and add a few spritzes of Dove hairspray for that extra lock on my style.
