I like to mix and match the unexpected together. Whether its high-end designer shoes mixed with a Target bag, or casual threads with more polished pieces–its a lot of fun to bring the opposites together for a unique look.
For a drive to the beach to catch the sunset today, I wore my favorite utility coat that is probably my most transitional piece for San Francisco since I can roll the sleeves up or down depending on how chilly it gets. I made a rare guest appearance with my Current / Elliott jeans (I never wear jeans…like ever!) and polished up the utility coat / jeans combo with a embellished collar button down and the most classic pump I’ve ever seen by Elie Tahari. The jacket / jeans and shirt / heels would each take on a very casual and corporate look on their own, but I love the way it turned out to bring them together. Opposites do indeed attract!

Love your blog so far! I am a guy & I don’t know how many guys follow you but I do it because you brighten my day and I love women with an immense sense of style. San Francisco is such a beautiful place. Last time I was there was 1978. I have to go there again soon.

I’m in love with those pumps, they’re beautiful! The shirt collar is stunning, and it looks so cool with the utility jacket. It all works together really nicely.

Beautiful pictures! I am going to put that jacket on the “things to find” list. Love the elegance of the collared shirt combined with the ruggedness of the utility jacket. Great look.
