Sometimes you just want to stick to the basics and keep your outfit simple and functional and thats exactly what I was going for today.  On this chilly day I was feeling a bit under the weather (fingers crossed that I don’t get the flu!) and trying my best to look pulled together while keeping warm to fend off the feelings of a cold.  My guilty pleasure is a pair of comfortable pants and this pair by Vince is perfect for looking tailored yet they feel like yoga pants.

Paired with my pant I wore my Pickwick & Weller Margot v-neck tee.  I’ve been looking for a classic plain white tee for quiet some time and finally found the perfect fabric, casual slouch and price point.  Oftentimes I’ve found great white tees in San Francisco boutiques and gasp at the three-digit price tag, but I love that this Pickwick & Weller tee is only $28.  I first discovered this shirt listed on Oprah’s Favorite Things list of 2013 and I knew I had to slip one on.  Oh and get this…the company was started by Ashton Kutcher and two friends!  So cool to see celebrities using their fame for good, in this case keeping all Pickwick & Weller tees ethically made in Los Angeles, CA.

Under my white tee base layer, I topped off my look with my Helmut Lang puffer jacket, my newest jacket purchase for the upcoming winter season and I’m OBSESSED with it.  I actually haven’t ever owned a puffer jacket before because they, well…make you look like a marshmallow.  But when I saw this one and its motorcycle jacket cut and oversized hoodie…I needed it immediately.  Not only is it beautiful, but this is the warmest coat I’ve ever worn. Ever.  Needless to say, I was bundled up and keeping nature’s elements at bay!

xoxo
