Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite mini indulgences. Before you know it the holiday season will be here and I’m taking the time to share what I love to do for myself to fend of holiday stress and enjoy a bit of ‘me’ time…enjoy!
Who doesn’t love fresh flowers?! I picked up these flowers last week and they are still just as gorgeous as the first day! My trick for long lasting flowers? Add a teaspoon of sugar and a couple drops of vodka to the vase water. Yes, I know this sounds weird but I found it on Pinterest and it works like a charm–who knew?
I recently experienced microdermabrasion for the first time at SkinSpirit. I love indulging in facials and wanted to take my skin care up a notch to ditch the dull, dry skin I’ve been noticing ever since the weather started to change. The appointment was quick, relaxing, and I left with my skin feeling completely rejuvenated…I’m hooked! Soft, smooth skin is the perfect accent to a bold red lip, right? Have you guys tried microdermabrasion?
On the topic of skincare, I’ve been keeping these Yes to Cucumbers facial wipes in my bag so that after a long day I can wipe off my makeup and feel fresh. I’ve been known to use these facial towelettes while
driving sitting in traffic, in the back of a taxi, or as a refreshing way to wipe down my face at the gym. Love having little travel size facials in my purse!
When I have multiple shoots and events in a week, I like to keep my hair situation manageable but still looking great. During those busy weeks, I opt for a shampoo and blowout and then use dry shampoo to keep it looking fresh (and fab!) for a few days. I recently discovered a new San Francisco hidden gem–Timothy Scott Salon–and immediately had to book an appointment. For being a girl thats always glued to my laptop/iPhone/iPad I really like being able to book and manage my appointment online. So happy to have found a new go-to blowout salon–great hair for everyone!
And my last favorite this week, a youtube video from photographer Peter Hurley on a tip for taking great photos…the ‘squinch’!
