Fall means lots of gorgeous jewel tones in purples and greens, but I’ve been interested in a new fall color lately…orange. I found this metallic leather Burberry clutch recently on super discount and have been so excited to wear it out. I had the perfect opportunity this past weekend to wear this outfit out to the San Francisco Symphony and I was ready to rock my pops of orange. I went to go see Alfred Hichcock’s Vertigo at the symphony–where the old movie was projected onto a screen above the symphony while the live music played along. It definitely was an incredible experience to hear the live music paired with such an amazing musical score.
Matching my clutch with my heels, I decided to wear my orange Miu Miu glitter mary janes–the perfect shoe for a little bit of glitz for a night out at the symphony! And the main star of the outfit? A lovely knit dress by Alexander McQueen that compliments the orange elements with its red, white, blue, and brown pattern. I found this dress at a local San Francisco boutique for 90% off which was amazing. I love this pattern and have been trying to find more dresses in a similar style, and I’ve been eyeing this one here British retailer M&S to add to my fall wardrobe. Loving this royal blue color…might just be my next color crush for fall!
Now that I’m looking at these photos, I’m noticing that my hair often times shows up more reddish and coppery in photos than it actually is in person. Perhaps its the metallic gold wall that is giving my locks a bit more warmth, or perhaps even my bright orange clutch. Either way, I’m thinking of taking my hair color to some new places for autumn with some richer and warmer colors. I’ve been going to a salon in San Francisco called DiPietro Todd for over five years now and they are the absolute best with color. Even if I’m looking for a more striking look, my colorist Bryan is great with finding a balance between bold color and a look that doesn’t look over done. Speaking of which… I need to book my next appointment!
What colors are you loving for fall? Do you find that you change up your hair color for fall and go a bit warmer toned similar to the color change of the leaves?

Totally agree that Orange is the perfect fall color. Fall means college football season and my heart always gets going when I see the Vols dressed in their home Orange running out of the tunnel at Neyland Stadium! Go Orange!
