WHAT TO WEAR TO A MOVIE DATE:
Top: Tart Collections c/o // Jacket: Zara, similar here // Pants: Zara, similar by 7FAM // Bag: Chanel, vintage version here, and wallet-friendly version here // Heels: Vince Camuto // Sunglasses: Karen Walker // Nails: RGB Tropic and RGB Factory, designed by LUX SF
One of my favorite simple pleasures in life is ducking into a movie theater and spending a couple of hours watching a film. But what movie outing would be complete without an outfit shoot? Well, this shoot didn’t really go to plan…it had its own plot twist!
For movie dates, I like an outfit that has a bit of sexy playfulness to it but casual enough to be comfortable watching a movie in. I wore this gorgeous Tart Collections cheetah print peplum top because it was just that–playful in animal print but the most comfortable and soft fabric! The cheetah looked fab against the tortoise print on my heels and Karen Walker sunglasses. I originally paired the top with this pair of denim but things didn’t go as planned… I got a coffee before the movie and it was just my luck that I got a leaky cup, which spilled all over my jeans. Wonderful.
Luckily enough, I had an extra pair of pants in my car and was able to do a quick outfit change after the movie. My photoshoot was saved and we ended up finding this cool vintage theater in the process. Funny how even though my outfit was ready to shoot, coffee cup fate intervened similar to the movie plot…what a coincidence! (I was just happy to take off those coffee soaked jeans!)
