MY POSTPARTUM JOURNEY TO LOVING THE SKIN I’M IN
When I first started getting stretch marks during pregnancy I was devastated. I took all of the advice and did everything I was supposed to do to prevent them but around 8 months my “tiger stripes” appeared. I feared that I’d have them forever, I wouldn’t feel confident in wearing a swimsuit, and compared myself to all of the pregnant women on Instagram with perfect tiny bellies and zero stretch marks. But now that Baby Harrison has come into my life, I see my marks in a whole new way. They show the 9 months I carried my baby into the world and remind me of the time when it was just us together, him walking around with me and me feeling his kicks. It’s a reminder of the hours and hours I spent in labor working hard to meet our baby boy. We should all practice more self-love and love the skin we’re in for all the amazing things it can do! I’ve been using Bio Oil twice daily since I delivered my tiny little boy in December to help improve the appearance of my stretch marks and hydrate my skin. Here’s how I use Bio Oil for stretch marks.
Bio Oil Multiuse Skincare Oil is the world’s leading scar and stretch mark product. Its formulation is a combination of natural plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base. Bio Oil contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil, which changes the formulation’s overall consistency, making it light and non-greasy–very luxurious to wear on your skin! This ensures that the goodness contained in the vitamins and plant extracts is easily absorbed. Which is perfect when you’re using Bio Oil for stretch marks!
Bio Oil for Stretch Marks
Bio Oil is:
- Clinically proven
- Dermatologist recommended
- Hypo-allergenic
- Can be used for scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin, dehydrated skin, after sun treatment & bath oil
- Formulated with vitamins A & E, calendula, lavender, rosemary & chamomile oils
I use Bio Oil by appling twice daily for a minimum of 3 months, and then I’ll use a dermaroller on my skin to help the product penetrate deeper. During pregnancy (I’ll be following this for baby #2) apply twice daily from the start of the second trimester.
