I don’t know what it is about summer but it has me wanting to go much lighter with my hair and add additional highlights and caramel colors to warm it up. I blame Instagram–I’m looking at you Desi Perkins I went to my recent hair appointment at Sassoon Salon in San Francisco and asked my colorist Nathan (the best, hands down!) to take my hair much, much blonder for summer. First of all–I can get very swept up into ideas quickly–I like the idea of taking on new projects and change (yes, let’s paint the house a different color!) so I’m not surprised that I suddenly got the idea to add tons of blonde blonde blonde balayage highlights to my hair. Thankfully I’ve built up the relationship with Nathan (as you should with you stylist / colorist too!) where he knows my style, my skin coloring, and most importantly my hair, and he helped reel me back in and realize that brighter blonde but in variations and different ways than my vision would be healthier for my hair and more flattering to my skin tone. As always, Nathan worked his magic and it turned out much better than my original idea looked in mind. I’m LOVING this brown-blonde…bronde..? color for summer. It looks so natural and effortless and I’m so happy to have a stylist that is looking out for my best interest! What hair trends are you trying out this summer? Are you going blonder too?
I lighten my hair for the summer, too, but I did mine back in June. We have less than a month of summer left here and I have an appt 9/1 to darken it for fall.
I love that dress….and the shoes…and the purse- LOL I’m a shopper and love when an outfit comes to together to look so trendy!
