I’m off to New York Fashion Week soon and I’m so excited since it will be my first time attending! I haven’t been to New York that many times before (a layover here and there, a 48-hour work trip) so I’m excited to really take the time to explore, see some amazing shows and presentations, and check out all of the cute cafés and cocktail spots I’ve been stalking on instagram. Something about the Big Apple feels so All-American. Be sure to follow along on my instagram story to see everything I get up to!
Since I’m packing a carry-on bag only (no way I’m risking my NYFW outfits getting lost en route!), I’m trying to keep my packing streamlined and focusing on distinct outfits for each day and hair and makeup looks that coordinate as well. I’m such a fan of classic beachy waves and will be amping up my signature look to add some extra volume and definition, just like I did today. Today I used my can of Suave Luxe Volume Hair Spray that I picked up on a recent Kroger trip to first spray each section lightly in preparation for the curl, curled my hair (I used the Hot Tools XL Barrel Curling Rod), sprayed it again, and then brushed it out to get the beachy-girl waves, but with an extra oomph of NYFW glamour. I snapped these photos on the way home from some final NYFW shopping and was surprised that my hair withstood all of the changing in and out of clothes. I’m curious to see what the New York humidity will do to my hair, haha!
And for this dress–I’ve been wearing it non-stop (it’s made many appearances on my instagram lately!) and you can’t beat the $26 price tag!

The dress, footwear and jacket just scream “Everyone should have an outfit like this!” The Suave products are quite impressive, based on the beautiful look you achieved with your hair. Since there is a Smith’s Market less than an hour away and it is owned by Kroger, I’m going to look for the products before I give up and have my hair cut short. Have fun!
