I don’t know about you guys but I’m so happy spring is here! My weekends have been filled with outdoor open space hikes and it’s my new favorite hobby–might have replaced Sunday brunch…?!?!!
If you haven’t heard, San Francisco’s Zappos Bay to Breakers race is coming up this weekend and I’m excited for this years festivities. I’ve participated in the past from a party perspective but this year I’m lacing up my fresh kicks and tackling the hills. If you follow my instagram you’ve noticed that hiking has dominated my weekends (sunshine, puppies, and a workout–what could be better?) and this piqued my interest about doing the race. I like climbing hills more than running on flat ground because I love that heart-pumping feeling it gives me, and I’m so ready for you San Francisco hills! Another major motivation–new workout gear to inspire me to get out the door and onto the trail. Super colorful workout clothing has dominated the trends lately but I’m just not that into it. I’m instead opting for the athleisure trend of sporty pieces in a neutral palette to take you from finish line to coffee date. Additionally, I wear a few dainty jewelry pieces to keep a bit of polish in my athleisure look, like these beautiful rose gold black diamond stacking rings from Porter Gulch (local San Francisco made!). I picked up these pieces from Zappos because–2 day free shipping, ’nuff said.
Are you headed out on the Zappos Bay to Breakers race this year, are you running or partying? Can’t want to see all the costumes!
