summer to fall hair care

If you’ve been following along on Just Add Glam for more than a post or two, you’re well aware that I consider a great head of hair to be an essential accessory to any outfit because its such a natural way to frame your face and put your smile in the spotlight.  I’ve been traveling a lot this summer and spending a lot of time in the sun and at the beach and unfortunately…it has caused a toll on my hair.  After spending a bit too much time soaking up the sunshine, my scalp wasn’t very happy with me and I was experiencing some dryness.  It’s definitely not something I want to admit since it’s a bit of an embarrassing subject but hey…it happens!

Not only am I stepping up my summer-to-fall fashion, but I’m also changing up my hair care routine now that we are transitioning from summer to fall.  I am constantly switching shampoos from professional salon formulas, to drugstore brands, but when I’m looking to hydrate my scalp I stick with the iconic Head & Shoulders brand.  I recently discovered their new fresh scent technology line and love the classic clean scent (I was torn between classic clean and green apple–enter the visual of me standing in the drugstore aisle sniffing shampoos–haha!).  The shampoo and conditioner have definitely been assets in getting my hair and scalp back to healthy!

When you’ve got a great head of healthy, shiny hair–pop on a bright dress, a bold lip, and some booties and you’re set!
