A few weeks back I did a major clean out of my bathroom vanity and purged expired makeup and skincare products, made goodie bags for friends to dig through for unused product, and it felt so good to clean house. The bathroom storage chaos and cleaning really helped me refine my beauty cabinet to be my essentials and products that make my skin feel its best, deals with my skins needs, and makeup that gives me a flawless finish.
One of the brands that has been on a steady rotation on my countertop the past few months has been Glo Skin Beauty. I first used the Glo products back when they were glo therapeutics–but they have merged (and I am so obsessed with their rebranded packaging). I’ve been using a range of Glo products from cleansers, serums, and makeup and consistently love my results across the range.
I’ve been starting my morning with the Glo Skin Beauty Glycolic Resurfacing Cleanser. I try to get facials every month or two months because its a great de-stressing therapy to get me out of my office and give my skin some love. When I get facials I do glycolic peels to help reduce the texture on my skin and they work wonders—but I wanted something that would similarly help, but something I could use at home without an aesthetician. I had acne starting at 13 and now later on, I’ve noticed my skin can easily get congested and develop texture from clogged pores, build up of dry skin and oil, etc. so glycolic acid has been my friend! This cleanser goes onto wet skin and works its magic to exfoliate and give me a facial result at home. When starting out with glycolic acids, I would recommend you try it out and see how your skin responds to it and then work your way up to using a few times a week. I use this Monday, Wednesday, Friday weekly and make sure I apply sunscreen—no wrinkles for me please!
And speaking of wrinkles…my next step going into my latest skincare routine is the Glo Skin Beauty Phyto-Active Firming Serum to perk up my skin and reduce fine lines—I’ve also felt like this has helped me when I have the dreaded pillow crease lines on my face, ha! I’ll give the bottle one pump and apply it to my face, working the gel into my skin from the middle of my face outward. Love that extra boost of radiance before moisturizer and makeup. I have handfuls of other Glo serums and creams from their different solution lines so I’ll mix and match based on what my skin is craving on a given week—this week it’s smoothing and firming.
And ending with makeup—I’ve been experimenting with the Glo Skin Beauty makeup elements too and have been having such a fun time playing with them (kid in a candy store over here!) I go through lipstick like you wouldn’t believe so having this Glo Skin Beauty Suede Matte Crayon in the shade Trademark makes it easy to touch up on the go. I feel like this is the perfect nude shade for my skin tone and have been getting tons of compliments on it. And best of all—cruelty free which this puppy mama loves!
I highly recommend you add some Glo Skin Beauty to your routine if you’re looking for skincare and makeup that nourishes and protects to give you your best skin yet!
And I mentioned how much fun I was having playing with their makeup—would you guys like me to post a Glo makeup look next? Let me know!
In partnership with Glo Skin Beauty, all thoughts are my own. The Glycolic Resurfacing Cleanser has changed my skin!
